Silverstone Energy Partners, founded in 2017, is a private investment firm focused on upstream and midstream Energy investments in growth-oriented companies. Typical structures can include senior stretch debt, mezzanine, VPPs, project equity, drilling joint ventures, or similar structures. We know the energy business, its complexity, and volatility. Silverstone seeks investment opportunities from $5 million to $200 million.

Marshall Lynn Bass

Lynn has over 25 years of energy finance experience and has been investing institutional funds in upstream and midstream energy for 16 years. He is the founder and Managing Director of Silverstone Energy Partners. Previously he founded and was President of ARM Energy Resources, a $650 million E&P JV investment vehicle and Senior Vice President of ARM Energy, which invested more than $200 million in STACK midstream assets. He co-founded Rock Ridge Energy LLC and GasRock Capital LLC, both direct private investment funds specializing in mezzanine debt, structured equity and equity in domestic energy companies or projects. Prior to this, he was a Managing Director with Weisser, Johnson & Co., an energy-focused boutique investment bank that has helped numerous high-growth energy companies with capital formation and mergers and acquisitions. He has served on the boards of Genesis Gas & Oil, Compete-At.com, Exodus Gas & Oil, Delta CBM LLC, ARM Energy, Two Oaks E&P, AlphaX Decision Sciences, Ocean Energy, LLC and Dune Energy. He holds degrees from Purdue University and Rice University. Lynn is based in Houston with his wife and three daughters.

Tom has 34 years of upstream energy experience in technical, operational, and business development roles. He has been an investment banker, energy equity analyst, experienced oil & gas operator and petroleum engineer. He has a track record of creating value with significant deal experience in senior roles leading to over $13 billion in closed energy transactions. He is the Founder and President of Millennium Energy Advisors, a boutique advisory practice specializing in energy acquisitions and divestitures, corporate and asset valuations, opportunity identification and optimization, and reserves assessments. Tom has also been an executive with Merrill Lynch, Southwestern Energy Company, Simmons & Co., Ryder Scott Company, and Exxon Company USA. He has served as Houston Chairman of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers and is a registered professional engineer, registered investment banking representative and former registered professional equity analyst. He holds Petroleum Engineering and M.B.A. degrees from Texas A&M University. Tom is based in The Woodlands, Texas with his wife of 34 years and is the proud father of three daughters and a son.
